Cory Vicious' vision to be a DJ began in 1996. He expressed his newfound aspiration to his brother-in-law and the following weekend Cory Vicious' brother helped turn his dreams into a reality. He had acquired the essential tools necessary to help Cory Vicious’ career take off. He gifted Cory Vicious with his first DJ setup: a pair of Gemini turntables and a mixer. Back then the digital DJ did not exist, so it was all about hunting for records, LP's, and 45's. Cory searched basements, back rooms, and second-hand-shops to start his music collection. Over the next four years, Cory worked hard to build his music collection, industry contacts and of course, his skills on the turntables.
By the year 2000, Cory started now going by the DJ name, C-Vicious. Also at that time, Cory was introduced to the Chicago club scene and quickly thereafter, Cory became the opening DJ for some of Chicago hottest Club & Radio DJs. Cory Vicious has held resident DJ spots at some of Chicago's most iconic nightclubs including: the Funky Buddha, BigWig, North Beach Club, Zentra, and Joe's on Weed Street. Cory Vicious has also taken his skills on the road to places that include: the Las Vegas Strip, Kentucky Derby, Jamaica, Detroit, and Los Angeles. Cory Vicious' DJ career has been a roller coaster ride but it has always been a progressive and fun ride. Currently, Cory Vicious can be booked as the audio conductor for your next event. All events are welcome: corporate, weddings, birthday parties, social gatherings and nightclubs. |
